BOB DORSEY

Bob Dorsey is a multi-disciplinary artist that has spent the last 20 years creating work predominantly focused on dark, humorous, large scale self-portraits on canvases. Eventually he began to use other people in his portraits, as if they were he, as if he were them. His latest series of portraits include his friends and colleagues that have turned 50 years old and most recently, Dorsey’s larger than life-sized sculpture “Self Portrait as an Armadillo” won the Best of Show and People’s Choice Award at the Polk Museum of Art’s 2015 Florida Outdoor Sculpture Competition.

Commissioned Portraits are available through Chris Davison Gallery.
